Angara announces the appointment of Petra Koselka to the role of Chief Executive Officer and Board Director.

The role will be based out of Angara’s major location in the Amsterdam World Trade Center and shall be effective immediately. Petra most recently served as Angara COO where she helped to substantially grow the base of customers, partners and transition the company from startup to scaleup, currently anticipating the closing of a $30MM funding round.

Petra brings over 30 years of international business and leadership including over 20 years with Shell where she served in roles such as VP Shell Ventures and General Manager Shell Aviation Europe.

In addition, Petra previously held roles as Corporate Director Strategy and M&A in AkzoNobel, COO at Clariter, Senior Advisor in Carbon War Room/Rocky Mountain Institute (USA) and is member of the Advisory Board of Den Hartogh Logistics. Petra holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and Cum Laude Drs. in Economics from Tilburg University (Netherlands).

Outgoing CEO Ilya Rodin retains his senior role on the Board of Directors and steps up to accept the position of Chief Development Officer where he will take the lead on identifying and implementing new business verticals growth under the DecarbonX umbrella and beyond plus further expand Angara’s IP portfolio.

According to Ilya: “Angara is entering a phase of rapid growth and expansion, including the recent launch of its global DecarbonX program. Petra’s current accomplishments, global experience, and expertise in addressing carbon abatement makes her a natural choice to lead Angara at this critical juncture”.
